Another almost sackable offence, our home town, and we haven’t even bothered with a full post!
In a bit of a rush to start sharing the mapping love, we’re getting the maps and posts up, with full write up to follow – but we didn’t want to delay anyone wanting to plan a
UPDATE – September 2018. After over a year of not being able to blog, we’re coaxed out of retirement to make an update to the map covering Southampton, the town most of us currently live in! Sadly a few places have shut, but great news, more have opened.
Straight to the good stuff – link to the map UKbeermaps – Southampton or below plus pictures of the venues in Southampton
DISCLAIMER – One of our roving reporters is financially connected to one of the bars listed below – Common Rooms. We want to be as transparent as possible that having held off adding the bar to this list and the map, for fear of appearing biased or showing favour, we can genuinely claim that (especially as we don’t get or take payment for this site!) the only reason we have added Common Rooms is because in comparison to all the other sites we visit or recommend and based on it’s range of offerings we honestly believe it merits inclusion.
For now, the places we visited on the day, the map below – and some photo graphical evidence of our hard work and research!
You’ll see them in the map, but on the day we managed to hit;
Images group 1 – the city centre leg
Common Rooms – we begin here on London Road….
London Road Brewhouse – just a few seconds walk up London Road (clue in the name eh!)
The Cricketers – out of London Road and round the corner – this one a classic little back street boozer and helps break up the 60 second walk to brewdog!
Brewdog – one of the newest and clearly the best brewdog bar in the country (sorry to all our friends in all the other brewdog bars we love but this one is in our current home town!)
Images group 2- the crawl around rest of town!

As always, shout out if you think we’ve missed anywhere, and feel free to share.
